I ordered quite a lot of stuff from the Estonian site Helmehaldjas, I'm so excited! We'll see when I'll receive my package... Of course I'll show pictures then!
Yesterday I received two necklaces that I had bought from a lady on Facebook. A black rose cameo and a Dia de los Muertos -style necklace.
Roses are probably my favorite flowers so I had to buy that one, and the skull reminds me of Grim Fandango, one of the greatest adventure games ever made. So I absolutely had to have it! I loathe the word "epic", but if I had to name one epic game, it would be this. Like the cover says.

Something new...
Sooo... It must be pretty apparent that I don't have much to say! Must be the silent Finn gene or something... But I have been doing new things, I just couldn't update whenever I wanted, so blogging sort of got pushed to the back.
Not too long ago I discovered polymer clay, and I've been trying to do things with it. Kinda hard, don't know if I should blame the brand I'm using, or do I just suck :D Right now I'm making a jewelry set, with a matching ring, a necklace and a pair earrings. The only thing I haven't done yet is the earrings, but I'll post pictures of those as well when ready.
The ring was an accident; I just made roses of different color, and later decided to glue them together. First I made a polymer clay ring base, though. After gluing everything, I decided to paint it black, to match my style better. And so I painted it with black acrylic, and then painted a coat of glossy varnish. I've worn it twice, and it's lovely :)
Too bad one of the leaves fell off, but you can't really see it, so I guess I won't fix it :B
The necklace is pretty elegant. In my opinion at least. I chose to put a decorative toggle clasp to it. The roses are made from black polymer clay, so I didn't need to paint them. I used the same glossy varnish, though. The design isn't exactly what I had in mind, but it's pretty close. I would've wanted smaller roses, but the black clay kept sticking to my fingers so it was rather difficult to use... But I'm still pleased with the result. I put a smaller rose and a couple of petals under the clump of roses so that they seem to be falling from it. Maybe I can try again later when I'm better at this.
The earrings are going to be similar to the necklace, with a clump of roses and some falling, attached to a chain.
I have plenty of ideas for more jewelry, so I'll be posting more of those :)

Modeling Cammy
Ooh, my first artwork-related post will be 3D!
My favorite Street Fighter character is Cammy, so I wanted to try and make a 3D-model of her. I've been working on it on-and-off for a few weeks now.
I started with the head, naturally. I'm not trying to make a perfect copy of the SFIV-model, as you can see :D It's still my style. Though a lot of tweaking is required.
Continued modeling the abs and the back. Also started working on her hair.
And working lower, still... Maybe her butt is too small at the moment :D The waist area needs a lot of tweaking. And the back, too, it's not looking very realistic.
I'm working on the legs right now. After that I can move on to finishing her arms and hair :)
Program used: Blender 3D.

First entry
Hello,
I'll be using this blog to show my sketches and artworks in general, and they may be traditional, digital or 3D. I'll probably also post pictures of clothes I've made. Occasionally I might talk about games, movies, music or food. Whatever comes to mind, like the description says :)
I live in Finland with my fiance and our black cat, Roope. I'm an animation student at the moment, but I also work for a game company. On my free time I like to draw (surprise), play video games, read and such.
Why "Walk With Me"? I don't know. I've been thinking about a name for a blog for ages, and today I was listening to Forest by System of a Down, where the lyrics go "walk with me my little child" or something. And I also love Twin Peaks (fire walk with me). So I thought, since I'm showing my artwork, it'll be like you're taking a walk with me, to my thoughts and mind. I hope you'll enjoy the trip :)
I have to make this blog look more like "me", first.
